2 faculty members to mark publication of new books at Aug. 19 launch party

Two WKU faculty members will be celebrating the publication of their new books at a launch party and reading from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 19 at Greener Groundz Cafe (871 Broadway Ave. in Bowling Green).

Tree Forms, a book of poetry by Dr. Jane Olmsted, English professor and director of the WKU Gender & Women’s Studies Program, was published by Finishing Line Press of Georgetown, Ky., in June, and How To Survive Graduate School & Other Disasters, a book of short stories by English instructor Dr. Molly McCaffrey, was published by Main Street Rag Press of Charlotte, N.C., in July.

The launch party will be hosted by English professor Mary Ellen Miller and will begin with a reading and discussion by Olmsted and McCaffrey at 7 p.m., which will be followed an open mic at 8 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public. Both Olmsted’s and McCaffrey’s books will be on sale and available for signing.

Contact: Molly McCaffrey, (270) 745-5709.
