WKU honored 11 students from Lexington area high schools for their academic achievements.

This year’s group of students has an average ACT composite score of 30.6 and grade-point average of 3.95.

The following students were honored at a luncheon Nov. 11 at Keeneland:

Bourbon County High School: Tyler Boyle.

Henry Clay High School: Maranda Gaines.

Louisville Christian Academy: Elizabeth Manning.

Scott County High School: Jenna Graves, Julia McClain, Jared Parker, Robert Wilhite.

Tates Creek High School: Michaela Carter, Amber Colley, Hannah Hamill, Erin Reed.

Upcoming recognition luncheons

  • The Lexington area luncheon was the seventh of eight events WKU is conducting this fall to recognize about 500 outstanding high school seniors throughout the state. The events conclude Nov. 18 with the Northern Kentucky Area Scholars Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. (Eastern time) at Receptions’ Campbell Room, 1379 Donaldson Highway, Erlanger.
