  • The Plural of Us by Bonnie Costello has been selected as the winner of the Warren-Brooks Award.

    Book by Bonnie Costello selected as winner of Warren-Brooks Award: The Plural of Us: Poetry and Community in Auden and Others, written by Bonnie Costello and published by Princeton University Press, has been selected as the 2017 winner of the Robert Penn Warren-Cleanth Brooks Award for outstanding literary scholarship and criticism.

  • WKU SBDC offering free small business workshop on Jan. 23: WKU’s Small Business Development Center is offering “Smart Start Business Basics,” a free workshop for those who want to start a small business.
  • Kentucky Mesonet at WKU Newsletter: The January 2018 newsletter for the Kentucky Mesonet at WKU features the FY17 Annual Report, 2017 in review and remote camera images.
  • 2018 Winter Weather Communications Plan: Check out a reminder about WKU’s winter weather communications plan that provides a number of ways you can find out if classes are delayed, canceled or if a campus is closed.
  • Winter Term Intersession Parking and Transit Changes: Here’s a reminder from WKU Parking & Transportation about intersession services in effect through Jan. 19. Normal parking regulations resume at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 21; full transit services resume at 7:15 a.m. Jan. 22. More: Winter Term parking map
  • WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff.   • Wes Strader fondly remembered by friends, WKU athletics family: 61 years ago WKAY Radio in Glasgow hired an 18-year-old WKU student named Charles Wesley Strader. Better known as “Wes,” the legendary Hilltoppers’ football and basketball play-by-play announcer touched the lives of multiple generations of Hilltopper fans. Funeral services for Wes Strader will be held next Monday and Tuesday at Eastwood Baptist Church in Bowling Green.
