    ‘Kaleidoscope’ exhibit to feature ‘Kentucky Sun Quilt’: Kaleidoscope: Kentucky Museum Quilts will open Jan. 22 at the Kentucky Museum.

  • WKU senior selected as 2018 Kentucky Derby Festival Princess: Katie Bouchard, a WKU senior from Owensboro, is among five women selected to serve as Princesses in the 2018 Kentucky Derby Festival Royal Court.
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina photo exhibition opening, film screening Jan. 31: WKU’s School of Journalism & Broadcasting will host a reception for the opening of a photographic exhibition Bosnia and Herzegovina: Then and Now followed by a screening of the documentary film Sarajevo Roses: A Cinematic Essay on Jan. 31.
  • 2018 Winter Weather Communications Plan: Check out a reminder about WKU’s winter weather communications plan that provides a number of ways you can find out if classes are delayed, canceled or if a campus is closed.
  • Winter Term Intersession Parking and Transit Changes: Here’s a reminder from WKU Parking & Transportation about intersession services in effect through Jan. 19. Normal parking regulations resume at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 21; full transit services resume at 7:15 a.m. Jan. 22. More: Winter Term parking map
  • WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff.   • Wes Strader

    Athletics: Longtime “Voice of the Hilltoppers” Wes Strader Passes Away: Charles Wesley “Wes” Strader, the “Voice of the Hilltoppers” as the radio play-by-play broadcaster for WKU football and men’s basketball for 36 seasons and one of the most prominent figures in the commonwealth of Kentucky’s sports broadcasting history, passed away Tuesday evening. He was 79. J.C. Kirby and Son on Lovers Lane in Bowling Green will handle the arrangements which are still in the process of being finalized. More: Remembering Wes Strader.

  • See where Kentucky colleges ranked among best online programs: U.S. News & World Report has released its rankings of the nation’s best online education programs, and WKU is the highest-ranking Kentucky school for bachelor’s degrees at No. 12.
  • Johnson and Coleby have been crushing it for WKU: Through 16 games, WKU’s bigs have been a solid pair. And after three league games, Justin Johnson and Dwight Coleby have been darn-near unstoppable. The two seniors, both of whom fought through some early-season struggles brought on via completely different circumstances, have become solid options on both ends of the court as the Hilltoppers (11-5, 3-0 Conference) venture into the depths of the league schedule.
