    Panhellenic Council makes gift to support Greek scholarships: WKU’s Panhellenic Council recently voted to help three existing scholarship funds reach endowment level so each scholarship could begin supporting students. The funds, which are housed in the College Heights Foundation, were all established at different times by women involved in Greek Life at WKU.  This most recent gift will allow all three funds to exist in perpetuity.

  • WKU Forensics Team finishes semester at Ohio State tournament: Nine WKU Forensics Team members traveled to Columbus, Ohio, to take part in a tournament hosted by the Ohio State University the weekend of Dec. 1-2.
  • Strategic Planning Committee to meet Dec. 6, hold forum Dec. 7: WKU’s Strategic Planning Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 6) in room 3023 of the Downing Student Union and will host an open forum at 2:45 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 7) in the Faculty House.
  • WKU Week in Photos for Nov. 27-Dec. 2, 2017: Check out the latest installment of WKU Week in Photos by Clinton Lewis and Bryan Lemon of WKU Public Affairs.
  • WKU to confer degrees to 1,401 during Fall 2017 Commencement on Dec. 9: WKU will confer degrees and certificates to 1,401 graduates during its Fall 2017 Commencement on Saturday (Dec. 9) at Diddle Arena.
  • WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. WKU’s Public Radio can be heard on WKYU-FM (88.9) in Bowling Green/Glasgow; WDCL-FM (89.7) in Somerset/Campbellsville; WKPB-FM (88.9) in Henderson/Owensboro; WKUE-FM (90.9) in Elizabethtown/Bardstown; and online at http://www.wkyufm.org/

  • Women’s basketball: Elgedawy Earns Second C-USA Freshman of the Week Honor: For the second time in the last three weeks, Raneem Elgedawy has been selected as the C-USA Freshman of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon following her first career double-double in WKU’s win over Evansville last Thursday. Next: Elgedawy and the Lady Toppers will have this week off as WKU breaks for final exams, but the team will be back in action on Sunday at 2 p.m. (CT) on the road at Southern Illinois.
  • Baseball: Toppers Announce Eight Signees in 2018-19 Class: WKU Baseball head coach John Pawlowski has announced the addition of eight future Hilltoppers who will join the program for the 2018-19 season. The early signing class includes six pitchers, one catcher and an outfielder.

  • Stansbury ‘thinks we’re close’ to Anderson, Diagne rulings: WKU is off to a 6-2 start, but still without two key pieces Rick Stansbury thought he’d have available in Josh Anderson and Moustapha Diagne. Anderson and Diagne have sat out the Hilltoppers’ first eight games. The NCAA is investigating Anderson’s high school academics and Diagne’s amateurism status, and has yet to clear either player.
