WKU in the News

  • Tops head west looking to spoil UTEP’s homecoming: It’s homecoming this week in El Paso, Texas. Seems appropriate. “I’m not a magician. I’m here to help manage this situation. I’m here to help, period,” said Mike Price, who retired from Texas El Paso after coaching the Miners from 2004-2012. But this week his phone rang. It was UTEP, wanting him to come back to lead his former team for the final seven games of the season. As fate would have it, Price’s first mission is to try to figure out a way to upset the two-time defending Conference USA champions from WKU at 7 p.m. CDT Saturday.
