WKU in the News

  • Former Bowling Green man opens restaurant in Florida: Thirteen years after Andrew Gaddie began working at Chick-fil-A in Bowling Green, he cooked up a new venture for himself in Florida. Gaddie, a WKU graduate, is owner/operator of a Chick-fil-A in Clermont, Fla., where his wife, Amber, and their son, Aiden, 3 – along with their families from Bowling Green – are celebrating the grand opening Thursday.
  • 8th annual memorial run for fallen solider: WKU’s Army ROTC program hosted the eighth annual Eric D. Yates Memorial Run on Wednesday evening. Nearly 200 people participated in the 5k run and 2 mile walk at Chaney’s Dairy Barn.
  • Tops looking to bounce back against Ball State before bye week: Perhaps sensing a rising level of frustration from the WKU (less-than) faithful this week, senior quarterback Mike White provided a sensible, reasonable outlook on his team’s 1-2 to start. “It’s a long season. We’re only three games in. This isn’t who we are,” he said. “I hate to regurgitate back to last year, but three games in, that team we were wasn’t the team we finished. It’s only September. And we just gotta keep fighting.”
