WKU’s Mary Joiner finished second in South Alabama’s USA Intercollegiate.

sophomore golfer Mary Joiner continued to shine in season debuts with her effort Monday, finishing second individually in South Alabama’s USA Intercollegiate. • Sanford, Tops approaching Ball State week with positivity: WKU will have to lay a lot of it on the line Saturday. A 6 p.m. game at Houchens-Smith Stadium represents the culmination of the first third of the season for a team trying to avoid a 1-3 start and first three-game losing streak since 2012. The Hilltoppers (1-2) host an improved, feisty Ball State team (2-1) unconcerned with WKU’s recent woes.
