    Tinius and Caitlin Burklow may be peas in a pod when it comes to the latest research collaboration between WKU and The Medical Center at Bowling Green. Dr. Tinius and Burklow are young mothers and WKU graduates. And they’re taking leadership roles in utilizing the PEA POD, the centerpiece of a project to improve the long-term health of moms and babies in southcentral Kentucky.   • Football: How to Watch WKU vs. Louisiana Tech on Stadium: In a rematch of the 2016 Conference USA Championship Game, WKU Football takes on Louisiana Tech on Saturday at 6 p.m. CT.   • Volleyball: Buckeye Invitational Up Next For WKU: Riding a season-best six-match win streak, WKU Volleyball is headed to Columbus, Ohio, for the Buckeye Invitational to close out regular season tournament play this weekend. The Lady Toppers will get their first opportunity to knock off a top-25 ranked team in No. 25 Ohio State in today’s opening match before taking on the always-competitive Dayton squad later in the afternoon. Weekend tournament play will close with a noon CT contest against Northern Illinois in nearby by Bexley, Ohio, at Capitol University on Saturday.
  • Soccer: Lady Toppers Kick Off C-USA Play at Old Dominion: WKU is set to return to the road for the first time in three weeks at 6 (CT) this evening, squaring off against Old Dominion in the C-USA opener for both sides at the ODU Soccer Complex in Norfolk, Va. Tonight’s match will double as beIN Sports’ featured Match of the Week and will air live on beIN Connect, the channel’s online digital network, and on a one-hour delay on the beIN TV Network. The match will be broadcast nationally on both platforms.
  • Tennis: Air Force Invitational Kicks Off WKU Season: Reigning Conference USA Coach of the Year, Jonatan Berhane, is ready to lead the WKU Tennis team for the fourth campaign. The squad kicks off the season today in the Air Force Invitational at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado. The two-day event will feature eight total teams.
  • Cross Country: WKU Headed Back South For Commodore Classic: After nearly two weeks since its opening competition of the 2017 campaign, WKU Cross Country is back in action as the Erik Jenkins-coached unit is headed for the Commodore Classic on Saturday. Action from Percy Warner Park in Nashville, Tenn., is slated to commence at 9 a.m. CT with the men’s 8K followed by the women’s 5K at 10 a.m. CT.
  • Women’s golf: Lady Toppers Open Season at USA Intercollegiate: The Lady Topper golf team opens its season this weekend at South Alabama’s USA Intercollegiate. The Lady Toppers will be one of 13 teams competing Saturday through Monday at the par-72, 6,002-yard RTJ Magnolia Grove-Crossings Course in Mobile, Ala.
