‘A Culture Carried: Bosnians in Bowling Green’ opens Sept. 29: The Kentucky Folklife Program announces the opening of the exhibit A Culture Carried: Bosnians in Bowling Green at the Kentucky Museum on WKU’s campus. The Opening Reception will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 29. The exhibit will be open through June 30, 2018.
- Alumni student organization welcomes new members to promote WKU Spirit: WKU’s Student Alumni Ambassadors (SAA) recently welcomed 14 new members, bringing the membership total 21 after the graduation of senior members.

Beta Gamma Sigma Recognized with Highest Honors: The WKU Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honors society for business, has been recognized as a chapter of Highest Honors for the 2016-17 academic year by the National Beta Gamma Sigma organization.
- WKU Admissions hosting events for prospective students & their families: WKU is taking its DiscoverWKU events across the United States this fall. Events are coming up Sept. 7 in northern Kentucky; and Sept. 12 in Lexington. Register online at http://www.wku.edu/discoverwku/
- WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. - Football: Mike Sanford Radio and TV Shows Hit the Airwaves: The Pursuit is almost here, and to help fans of the Red and White get ready for kickoff, the Mike Sanford Radio Show and `Coaches Corner with Mike Sanford’ television show are set to return to the airwaves. - Raise the W: Coach Mike Sanford helped President Timothy C. Caboni Raise the W on Wednesday at the President’s Home in preparation for Saturday’s season opener against EKU.

- WKU police officer traveling to Houston to help with flood relief: A police sergeant from WKU is stepping up to help with flood relief in Texas. Sergeant Rafael Casas plans to drive down to Houston on Sunday with a truck load of food and supplies.
- WKU opens Year of Bosnia and Herzegovina programming: When Jerry Daday watched the Bosnian war on TV as a college student, his biggest question was, “Why aren’t we doing anything to stop this?” Now an associate sociology professor at WKU, Daday spoke to students about the war Tuesday as part of an event for WKU’s International Year of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- ‘WKU Football: Coaching Hotbed On The Hill’ to air tonight: WBKO-TV has scheduled “WKU Football: Coaching Hotbed On The Hill” to air at 6:30 tonight. The 30-minute show, hosted by WBKO sports director Mike Cleff, will feature interviews, footage and analysis of WKU athletic director Todd Stewart, coach Mike Sanford and former WKU coaches Willie Taggart, Bobby Petrino and Jeff Brohm. WKU’s 2017 Homecoming set for Oct. 14: WKU’s 2017 Homecoming is scheduled for Oct. 14 against Conference USA opponent Charlotte. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. The Homecoming theme is There’s No Place Like Home; other event information will be available on the Alumni website. The Hall of Distinguished Alumni Luncheon and Induction ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. Oct. 13.
