Four WKU students have been honored for their poetry in the 2017 Flo Gault Poetry Contest, sponsored by Sarabande Books in Louisville.
Adrian Sanders, a junior creative writing major from Clarkson, won third place with “If I Were Hemingway’s Girl.”
Three students received honorable mentions: Michaela Miller, a senior photojournalism major from Barbourville, for “Her”; Bridget Yates, a junior creative writing major from Elizabethtown, for “Love Song”; and Iman Zaghariet, a junior creative writing major from Lexington, for “A Proper Lady.”
The annual prize is open to all full-time Kentucky undergraduate students.
