WKU Engineering faculty and staff, with support from the Tau Beta Pi student Engineering Honors Society, will conduct the 17th annual Kentucky Bluegrass LEGO Robotics Competition on Saturday (Feb. 25) at Henry Moss Middle School, 2565 Russsellville Road, Bowling Green.
For the 2017 competition, elementary and middle school teams must build autonomous robots from LEGO Mindstorm kits to navigate through two different tracks based on a games theme: they will play a modified game of Pacman and a game of Connect-4. In both contests they will be competing against other robots.
Students compete in teams in either an “Engineer-in-Training” division for elementary school teams or a “Professional Engineers” division for middle school and more experienced teams.
Schools from the following counties will compete: Bowling Green/Warren County, Hart County, Green County, Nelson County, Hardin County, Webster County, Barren County, Logan County, Jefferson County and Pulaski County.
The competition will start around 9 a.m. The public is welcome.
