WKU’s Passport Services Office is being recognized by the U.S. Department of State for providing outstanding service.
The office is receiving the Special Recognition Award in Passport Services’ first Acceptance Facility Awards.
Marshall Gray, director of Postal, Printing & Vending Services, said he was excited about the award, especially since WKU’s Passport Services has only been in existence since October 2014.
“The service is open to all, but the initial goal was to provide the service for our students who were interested in studying abroad,” Gray said. “It was our way of aligning with WKU’s vision statement, ‘A Leading American University with International Reach.’ Our goal has been to provide outstanding service to our customers and it’s good to know that it has been noticed.”
Passport Services is a passport acceptance facility. The office accepts completed passport applications and sends them with the appropriate documentation to the U.S. Department of State for processing.
