WKU Library Student Assistant Scholarship presented

WKU sophomore Alexa Anderson of Bowling Green has been selected as the Fall 2016 recipient of the WKU Library Student Assistant Scholarship. Anderson, a family studies major, works as a library security patroller for WKU Libraries.

Alexa Anderson (center) received the WKU Library Student Assistant Scholarship for Fall 2016.

“Alexa has maintained an excellent GPA,” said Kathy Foushee, Senior Circulation Assistant and Anderson’s supervisor. “She is one of the most determined students I have seen in my seven years here. Alexa brings the same diligence and effort to her jobs—currently having two—as to her studies. Her friendly attitude and willingness to provide support is remarkable.”

Anderson says she loves being a library assistant. “WKU Libraries has enriched my love for knowledge through reading as well as aided me into becoming a well-rounded and determined student,” Anderson said. “With a little aid, I will be able to impact the lives of others.”

The scholarship is sponsored through funding from the Friends of WKU Libraries. For information on the Friends program, go to www.wku.edu/library and click on “Support Us.”
