WKU groups to host Election Results Watch Night on Nov. 8

WKU students will gather in Downing Student Union at 7 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 8) to watch the national and local election results announced live.

11-8electionwatchWKU’s Intercultural Student Engagement Center (ISEC) will host an Election Results Watch Night in partnership with The Political Engagement Project, Epsilon Zeta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Eta Phi Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and Black Leaders Advocating for the Community. The event will take place in Downing Student Union’s Nite Class, which is across from Red Zone on the first floor.

WKU’s Political Science Department Head Dr. Saundra Ardrey and School of Journalism & Broadcasting Assistant Professor Amanda Crawford will facilitate discussion during the evening. In addition to the discussion, there will be activities set up for photos to celebrate the election.

Guests are encouraged to wear their “I Voted” stickers. Students, faculty, staff and community members are welcome. For information, contact ISEC Program Coordinator Kristina Gamble at kristina.gamble@wku.edu.

The WKU Intercultural Student Engagement Center assists our university with the recruitment, retention, and graduation of underrepresented WKU students. They are “Where education, students, and culture connect!”
