Traffic/parking information for annual 10K Classic Oct. 15

The 37th annual Med Center Health 10K Classic is scheduled for Saturday morning (Oct. 15). The event will begin on University Boulevard and end at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium.

Event details: The 5K Run/Walk starts at 7:30 a.m followed by the 1.5 Mile Fun Walk at 7:45 a.m., the 10K Wheelchair Race at 7:55 a.m., and the Med Center Health 10K Classic at 8 a.m. The Children’s Classic will begin at 9:30 a.m. near the stadium. Traffic/parking information: Many streets near the WKU campus to downtown Bowling Green will be closed from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday for the event. Access to campus will be limited to the intersection of 14th Avenue and Chestnut Street. Entrance to the Alumni Square Garage will be on 13th Avenue from Center Street. The following WKU parking lots will be closed with no entry or exit for the duration of the race: College Heights Boulevard Lot, Diddle South, Kentucky Street Lot, Poland Lot, McCormack Lot, McLean Service Drive, Schneider Lot, South Lawn and Wetherby Lot.
