‘I’ll Fly Away: The History of Bowling Green/Warren County Airport’ to be presented Oct. 18

illflyaway_digitalAs part of American Archives Month, the Special Collections Department of WKU Libraries is partnering with the Landmark Association and Co-Mar Aviation to host “I’ll Fly Away: The History of Bowling Green/Warren County Airport” from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at the BG/WC Regional Airport in the FBO Building.

According to Suellyn Lathrop, WKU Archivist, there will be comments by Library Special Collections Department Head Jonathan Jeffrey, Manuscripts Assistant Lynn Niedermeier and Associate Professor Sue Lynn McDaniel. “Jonathan, Lynn, and Sue Lynn will be discussing the early history of the airport, Eastern Airlines service, and fixed-based operators (FBOs), respectively,” Lathrop said.
