WKU Children’s Theatre opens its 2016 season Friday (Sept. 30) with Jungalbook by Edward Mast, directed by student Austin Vahle.
Based on the stories of Rudyard Kipling, this adaption places the jungles of India in a children’s playground. Through trials and tribulations, Mowgli finds his place in the world with the help of a few vibrant friends.
“We try to do shows that both entertain and educate,” said Carol Jordan, Theatre Instructor and Director of Children’s Theatre. “Our students do an excellent job of engaging younger audiences.”
Jungalbook continues Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 1-2). This play is best suited for ages 6 and up.
All Children’s Theatre shows are performed in the Lab Theatre in Gordon Wilson Hall at WKU. Show times are Friday at 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. All tickets are $5.
