WKU will conduct a groundbreaking ceremony for Ogden College Hall at 10 a.m. Tuesday (April 5).
The ceremony will be held at the building’s site on East 14th Avenue adjacent to Thompson Complex Central Wing. Parking will be available in Chestnut Street North lot.
Construction of the 80,000-square-foot, four-story building began in February. Ogden College Hall, which will replace Thompson Complex North Wing, will include 36 laboratories for the departments of Chemistry, Physics and Biology; a 300-seat auditorium, student success center and student lounges; and the Dean’s Suite for the Ogden College of Science and Engineering.
The $32.2 million project is planned for completion in December 2017. The architectural firm is Ross Tarrant Architects of Lexington. The general contractor is Whittenberg Construction of Louisville.
