In a ceremony at 9 a.m. (ET) Wednesday (March 23) on the Jefferson Community and Technical College Downtown Campus, WKU President Dr. Gary Ransdell and JCTC President Dr. Ty Handy will sign a joint admissions agreement that will make it easier for students to transfer from JCTC to WKU.
This agreement will allow students to be admitted to both JCTC and WKU at the same time. Both institutions will recruit students for the program and jointly admitted JCTC students will have access to student services at WKU, such as cultural events, sporting events, library services, dining facilities and student organizations.
This partnership is a model example of how higher education institutions can work together and make it easier, and more affordable for students to earn a four-year degree.
