WKU’s Community Religious Literacy Project will host its third Interfaith Dialogue on Earth Care March 18-19.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. March 18 at Mass Media and Technology Hall Auditorium with a screening of the movie Dirt followed by an interdisciplinary panel discussion led by Dr. Grace Hunt, assistant professor in WKU’s Department of Philosophy and Religion.
The Interfaith Dialogue on Earth Care will continue from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. March 19 at Christ Episcopal Church, 1215 State St.
The Rev. Andrew Garner, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bowling Green, will present the keynote address on Pope Francis’ Encyclical On Care for Our Common Home at 9 a.m.
Other presentations and discussions will include A Roundtable on Local/Global Initiatives at 8 a.m.; Scientific Perspective on Environmental Justice at 10 a.m.; World Religion and Literacy on Earth Care at 11 a.m.; Next Generation Panel: Resilience and Hope at 1:15 p.m.; a potluck lunch at noon; and Final Roundtable Discussions on Future Public Meetings at 1:30 p.m.
