WKU’s 2015 Homecoming game against Florida Atlantic University will kick off at 11 a.m. (CT) on Nov. 7 and will be broadcast on a national television network to nearly 100 million homes as part of Conference USA’s television package. Festival of Friends, the official Homecoming Tailgating, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on the WKU campus.
Many groups and organizations plan events to celebrate Homecoming throughout the day and evening of the game. “Homecoming is a special time on the WKU campus when students, faculty, staff and alumni gather to showcase their pride and WKU Spirit,” said Ginny Hensley, director of Alumni Programming. “Our goal is to spread that same Spirit throughout the region – and now the nation — through our Homecoming festivities.”
“Under the Big Top” is the theme for Homecoming 2015, and activities are scheduled throughout the week of Nov. 4-8. “This year’s circus theme will allow our student body to be creative and incorporate all aspects of circus life into this year’s activities,” Hensley said. “While we expect the circus theme to surface most, ‘Under the Big Top’ can also be interpreted in a more traditional way of celebrating the Hill-TOP-pers.”
