WKU and English as a Second Language International will celebrate 15 years of partnership with the signing of a new agreement on Tuesday (July 21).
WKU and ESLi will sign the memorandum of understanding at 5 p.m. in the Craig Administrative Center. ESLi provides English language training to international students at WKU and maintains a corporate office on campus.
ESLi averages 150 students per semester at WKU, and the numbers have been growing, said David Kerr, ESLi’s Director of Institutional Advancement.
“Students are fully qualified academically, but they lack the English proficiency requirement for admission,” Kerr said. “Once the complete ESLi, they are fully admitted to the WKU.”
