WKU weather alert for March 4, 2015

Winter-Weather-Advisory-612x612Here’s a WKU winter weather alert for Wednesday (March 4):

  • Beginning at 4 p.m. Wednesday (March 4), classes on the WKU Bowling Green campus are canceled. Thursday and Friday classes (March 5-6) at all WKU campuses also canceled. Online classes will proceed as scheduled. WKU offices will be closed on Thursday (March 5), with essential personnel reporting.
  • WKU Owensboro closed at noon Wednesday (March 4).
  • WKU Glasgow will cancel Wednesday classes (March 4) that begin at 5 p.m. or later. Ending time for those classes that begin prior to 5 p.m. and run into the evening hours is at the instructor’s discretion. The entire WKU Glasgow Campus will close at 7 p.m. Wednesday (March 4).
  • WKU Elizabethtown-Fort Knox will close at 3 p.m. ET Wednesday (March 4) and will be closed Thursday, Friday and Saturday (March 5-7). WKU Elizabethtown-Fort Knox will reopen Monday (March 9).
  • Should inclement weather make travel hazardous, WKU residence halls would remain open Saturday (March 7); watch for updates from WKU Housing.
  • Fourth Region basketball tournament games scheduled for Wednesday (March 4) at Diddle Arena have been postponed and will be rescheduled for Friday/Saturday (March 6-7). (More info on What’s Happening at WKU page.)
  • WKU Dining closing hours for Wednesday (March 4): 5 p.m. — Burrito Bowl, Panda, Garrett Subway, SBX; 6 p.m. — Bates Subway, POD, Juice Blendz, Burger Studio; 7 p.m. — Popeye’s, Pit Stop; 8 p.m. — Fresh Food Company, Red Zone, Chick-fila; 10 p.m. — Papa John’s, Steak N’ Shake.
  • WKU Dining schedule for Thursday-Friday (March 5-6): Fresh Food 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. All other locations closed.
  • Mass Media and Technology Hall computer lab: Closing at 6 p.m. Wednesday (March 4).
  • Preston Center hours: Open until 11 p.m. Wednesday (March 4); open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday (March 5). While the Preston Center will be open, the IMREC Sports Office and the Health & Fitness Lab will be closed.  All scheduled programs and services for Wednesday night and all day Thursday have been canceled.
