The Center for Gifted Studies at WKU will celebrate 30th anniversary July 2

The Center for Gifted Studies at WKU, under Executive Director Julia Roberts, will host a 30th anniversary celebration on July 2.

The event begins at 10 a.m. with a brunch at the National Corvette Museum (NCM), home of America’s sports car. The NCM has offered The Center’s guests reduced price tickets of $3 that Saturday, instead of the usual $10. The day’s opportunities continue at Aviation Heritage Park (AHP) located at Basil Griffin Park. From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., an AHP board member will be available to tell the stories of the three airplanes on exhibit and the area’s famous aviators, including many WKU alumni.

The day’s big event will be held from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the WKU South Lawn when The Center for Gifted Studies will host a barbecue dinner, games, inflatables, music, art, tours and more activities. The Center’s website and the Center for Gifted Studies Alumni Facebook page have complete information including the reservation link for the anniversary events, local accommodations and other regional events.
