Reminder: Two-way traffic change begins Aug. 15 on top of the Hill

Effective Saturday (Aug. 15), College Heights Boulevard will change from one-way to two-way traffic between State Street and Hilltop Drive. Signs are in place announcing the upcoming change.

College Heights Boulevard will be closed from 6 a.m. to noon Saturday (Aug. 15) for repainting.

As a result of this change, the intersection of College Street and College Heights Boulevard (in front of Cherry Hall) will become a three-way stop. Vehicles exiting the Hub parking lot will be able to turn left as traffic allows.

A loading zone will be created on College Heights Boulevard in front of Science and Technology Hall to facilitate passenger loading and unloading in the area.

The change was recommended through the campus Master Plan committee to improve traffic circulation on The Hill, reduce traffic on Hilltop Drive, and improve pedestrian safety along Hilltop Drive.

Drivers are urged to use caution in this area when the two-way traffic begins.
