Service One partners with Alumni Association for ‘Big Red Mobile’

Service One Credit Union has collaborated with WKU’s Alumni Association to present the “Big Red Mobile.”  This partnership allows the WKU Alumni Association to add a unique co-branded touch to their transportation while escorting alumni, students and special guests through WKU’s beautiful campus. The Big Red Mobile will be used to provide tours, along with aiding the Alumni Association during special events and other occasions, like football games.

“Service One is proud to have 50 years of affiliation with WKU. The sponsorship of the ‘Big Red Mobile’ is just another example of Service One’s willingness to support WKU in any needed facet,” said President/CEO Garth Griese. “We look forward to additional opportunities to further our support of WKU.” Service One has a long-standing affiliation with WKU, as it began as Western Kentucky State College Credit Union, on The Hill in 1963.

Executive Director of the WKU Alumni Association, Rick DuBose, said: “We are so appreciative of this generous gift from our partner, Service One Credit Union. The Big Red Mobile is much needed for transporting our guests for events at the Augenstein Alumni Center, as well as the day-to-day needs of staff and visitors as we traverse our ever-expanding campus. It would not have been possible without Service One, and we thank them very much. They have been a strong supporter of the University since they began operations.”

Service One Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative established to assist WKU faculty, staff, students and alumni to improve their financial well-being through personal relationships and innovative solutions. SOCU now serves a greater field of membership, welcoming those who live, work or worship in the Barren River Area Development District (BRADD) area.
