Selection Sunday: Toppers will face Kansas in NCAA Tournament

Hilltopper fans gathered at Diddle Arena on Sunday evening (March 17) for the NCAA Tournament Selection Show watch party. WKU is the No. 16 seed in the South Region and will play No. 1 seeded Kansas on Friday (March 22) in Kansas City, Mo. After the bracket was announced, Hilltopper players signed autographs. WKU (20-15) is making its 23rd overall NCAA tournament appearance and won its second straight Sun Belt tournament championship by winning four games in four days in back to back years. Kansas (29-5) earned a share of the Big 12 regular-season title and won the Big 12 tournament championship. Friday’s game will begin at approximately 8:50 p.m. (CT) and will be televised on TNT.
