WKU Veterans Upward Bound student Vicky Henderson of Scottsville has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship by the U.S. Army Women’s Foundation.
Henderson will use the money to help defray her educational expenses at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College.
“Congratulations on being selected for the Army Women’s Foundation Legacy Scholarship,” said April Booth, chief administrative officer for the AWF. Henderson will be pursuing an associate of science degree in medical information technology at SKYCTC starting March 18.
“Ms. Henderson is highly intelligent and always strives for excellence,” said VUB Coordinator/Counselor Rick Wright. “She is a non-traditional student who loves to learn and truly appreciates the value of education. As a veteran of the U.S. Army and a real scholar, Vicky is a very deserving recipient of this award.”
