The WKU Department of Music, in partnership with WKU Lifelong Learning, will offer the Summer Performance Institute this summer. The Institute is an active three-day vocal and band program for rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors from local honors chorus and honors wind ensembles.

Students will spend three days participating in a variety of musical, social and recreational activities including rehearsals, group lessons in conducting and music theory, swimming, movies, a pizza party, concert band and talent show. Individual lessons are also available.

The program takes place June 12-14 on the WKU campus. Students may choose from a residential or commuter option. Residential fees are $275 per person if registered on or before April 30 and $295 if registered May 1 or after. Residential fees include program, lodging for two nights and all meals. Commuter fees are $195 per person if registered on or before April 30 and $215 if registered May 1 or after. Commuter fees include program and lunch.
