WKU honors Lexington students

WKU honored 10 students from Lexington. From left: WKU President Gary Ransdell, Zachary Young, Cecile Avery, Kierra Muhammed, Brent Harney, Lisa Laufenberger, Vynique Walker, Anna Durham, Karis Allan, Courtney Cruse, Jonathan Kinnicutt and Dr. Craig Cobane, executive director of Honors College at WKU.

WKU honored 10 students from four Lexington high schools for their academic achievements.

This year’s group has an average ACT composite score of 31.48 and grade-point average of 3.92.

The following students were honored at a luncheon Nov. 29 at the Signature Club in Lexington:

  • Henry Clay High School: Cecile Avery.
  • Paul Laurence Dunbar High School: Courtney Cruse, Anna Durham, Brent Harney, Kierra Muhammed, Vynique Walker.
  • Lafayette High School: Zachary Young.
  • Trinity Christian Academy: Karis Allan, Jonathan Kinnicutt, Lisa Laufenberger.
