About 300 students from 13 schools will participate in the annual Health Occupations Students of America pre-conference competition Friday (Nov. 16) at WKU.
HOSA on the Hill, sponsored by South Central AHEC and WKU College of Health and Human Services, will be held in the Downing University Center.
Students will compete in 13 events including Extemporaneous Writing, Job-Seeking Skills, CPR and Nursing Assisting to prepare for state competition. The state competition will be held in March in Louisville.
Additional event offerings include campus tours with WKU College of Health and Human Services Ambassadors, educational programs on professionalism and healthy living and advisor networking.
The schools represented are Allen County Technical Center, Barren County Area Technology Center, Bowling Green High School, Breckinridge County ATC, Franklin-Simpson High School, Green County ATC, Hopkins County Central High School, Muhlenberg County ATC, Pulaski County ATC, Russellville ATC, Union County High School, Warren County ATC and Webster County ATC.
