Sarkeesian’s presentation, titled I’ll Make a Man Out of You: Redefining Strong Females Characters, will explore representations of female characters in the media and other narrative forms.

Sarkeesian uses her riotous web show as a platform to critique the world we live in by exploring representations of race, gender, sexuality, class and ability in popular culture. She also speaks internationally about feminist media criticism, online video production, remix video and fair use.

This lecture is free and open to the public. A Q&A will follow the event.
