Hilltopper fans will have an opportunity to bleed red and help save lives in the third annual WKU vs. Middle Tennessee State University blood drive competition.

The WKU vs. MTSU blood drive will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Oct. 29; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 30; and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Preston Health and Activities Center. Donors will have a chance to win a $50 gas card each day.
The American Red Cross has added an extra day for those in the community who want to participate from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Holiday Inn University Plaza and Sloan Convention Center Salon C, 1021 Wilkinson Trace, Bowling Green.
The blood drive winner will be announced Nov. 1 during the WKU vs. MTSU football game at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium. MTSU won the first two competitions. Update: WKU won the 2012 blood battle with 637 units compared to 618 for MTSU.
