The Medical Center 10K Classic is scheduled for Saturday (Oct. 13). The event will begin and end on the WKU campus.
The 5K run/walk will begin at 7:30 a.m. followed by the 1.5 mile fun walk at 7:50 a.m. The 10K wheelchair race will begin at 8:25 a.m. with the Medical Center 10K Classic at 8:30 a.m. The Children’s Classic will begin at 10:15 a.m. Awards will be presented at 11 a.m. Race information is available here; click here for a course map.

WKU campus parking information
With many streets temporarily closed during the the 2012 Medical Center 10K classic access to campus will be limited. For those arriving on campus between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m., here are some suggested parking alternatives:
- To access Preston Center, Tate Page Hall, Academic Complex or Gary Ransdell Hall on the south end of campus, use Chestnut Street South Lot and enter from Hogle Drive.
- To access Diddle Arena, DUC, Grise Hall or Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center in the center of campus, parking will be available in PS2. Enter using the southbound lane of University Boulevard.
- To access Environmental Science and Technology Hall, Engineering and Biological Sciences, Snell Hall and Thompson Complex on the north end of campus, use Chestnut Street North Lot and enter from 14th Street.
- To access the top of the “Hill,” enter at Hilltop Drive and exit onto Normal Street going north. Use 14th Street to State Street, then onto College Heights Boulevard. All traffic must turn onto Hilltop Drive.
- To access the Kentucky Building, use Adams Street and park in Adams Street Lot and enter using the southbound lane of University Boulevard.
Other street/parking lot closures:
- If your vehicle is located in Poland Lot, South Lawn or on Avenue of Champions, note that you will be unable to enter or exit during the event.
- Normal Street will be closed to through traffic at the intersection of University Boulevard.
