WKU students taking a Study Away course this winter are encouraged to apply for a $100 scholarship offered through the Student Government Association (SGA). The scholarships will be awarded to eight WKU students planning to take a winter 2013 Study Away course.
Brittany Crowley, SGA director of academic and student affairs, said that the Study Away scholarship is a perfect fit for SGA. “We are here to help fellow students make the most of their time here at WKU,” said Crowley. “This scholarship is one way we can help WKU students challenge themselves and gain hands-on knowledge beyond the campus classroom.”
Applications must be submitted online by Oct. 19. The Study Away office will announce awards by Oct. 28. Students do not have to be currently enrolled in a Study Away course to apply, but the award will only be made after the student has paid for the course.
