WKU’s Alumni Association has named nine new board members to its 32-member Board of Directors. New members who began their term this month are:
Matt Ayers of Louisville, a 1998 graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Health Care administration. He is the System Vice President for Norton Healthcare. He is actively involved in many professional organizations and community endeavors including Leadership Louisville and the Salvation Army Board. He serves on the HCA Advisory Committee at WKU. While a student, he was a Spirit Master and a member of Delta Tau Delta. He and his wife, Jenny, have one son, Bryson.
Bryan Baysinger of Glasgow, a 1993 graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management. He is a Certified Financial Consultant at Hilliard Lyons. He serves as the President of the Glasgow/Barren County Alumni Chapter and is a member of the Hilltopper Athletic Foundation Board, W-Club Board and Hilltopper Halls of History Committee. Baysinger was named WKU Alumnus of the Year in 2004, and he was also a member of the Hilltopper golf team.
Matt Coleman of Franklin, Tenn., a 2001 graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and a 2003 master’s degree in Public Health. He is the Wellness Coordinator at Hospital Corporation of America. He serves as the President of the Music City Alumni Chapter. Coleman was named Young Alumnus of the Year in 2010. While on the Hill, he was an athletic trainer and ran cross country and track. He was also an active participant in the student group of the Kentucky Public Health Association. He and his wife, Melissa, have one daughter, Hannah.
Steve Fogle of San Antonio, Texas, a 1976 graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He is a Partner in the law firm Jackson, Walker, LLP. During his time at WKU, Steve participated in ROTC, Scabbard and Blade, Pershing Rifles and Omicron Delta Kappa. He received his Juris Doctorate at Baylor University. He is married to Ellen Fogle.
Rick Johnstone of Fairdale, a 1972 graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a retired Deputy Mayor of Louisville. While on the Hill, he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. He is married to Linda Johnstone.
Debi Jordan of Bowling Green, a 1982 graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and a 1988 master’s degree in Student Personnel Services. She is the Executive Director for the Bowling Green Warren County Community Education Board. Jordan has served on numerous boards including the Warren County Gangs, International English Institution, Kentucky Museum Advisory Council and Kentucky Community Education Association. During her days on the Hill, she was a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and the staff of the College Heights Herald. She and her husband, B.J., have two children, Ted and Bailey.
Debra Maggart of Hendersonville, Tenn., a 1982 graduate with a bachelor’s degree in advertising. She is a State Representative for the Tennessee General Assembly. While on campus, Maggart was active with Phi Mu and University Center Board. She has also been a higher education advocate and involved with the WKU Alumni efforts in Tennessee.
Steve Moore of Bowling Green, a 1980 graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has also served on the Hilltopper Athletic Foundation Board of Directors. He and his wife, Nancy, have two children, Steven and Connor.
Greg Pryor of Hopkinsville, a 2009 graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Management. He is the Logistics Manager for Pace Transport. He is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He and his wife, Sharon, have one son, Harrison.
Alumni president named
Kristen Miller of Louisville was named president of the WKU Alumni Association for 2012-2013 by the board of directors. She succeeds Dale Augenstein of Hilton Head Island, S.C. J Moseley of Franklin, Tenn., is the new president-elect.
About the alumni board: The WKU Alumni Association is comprised of 97,000 WKU alumni around the globe. The Alumni Association Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the direction of the WKU Alumni Association, developing a strategic plan to guide the Association, securing the resources necessary for supporting the programs and services of the Association, and supporting the overall mission of the Association and the University as a whole. Board members are appointed to the position based on demonstrated involvement, support, and/or commitment to WKU.
