2012 Coming Home King named

Diego Leal Ambriz, a senior from Monterrey, Mexico, was named WKU’s 2012 Coming Home King on Feb. 16.

Ambriz, who represented Alpha Tau Omega, was one of 19 students who were recognized during halftime of the Hilltopper basketball game against FAU.

First runner-up was Bryan Hartzell, a junior from Nashville, Tenn., representing Phi Mu. Second runner-up was Lukas Simmons, a senior from Auburn, representing Kappa Delta.

The awards were presented by WKU President Gary Ransdell and Kyle Allen, 2011 Coming Home King runner-up.

  • Ryan Appel, a sophomore from Louisville, representing Kappa Sigma.
  • Robert Baird, a senior from Uniontown, representing FarmHouse.
  • Cory Dodds, a junior from Smithland, representing Student Government Association.
  • Daniel Gifford, a senior from Bowling Green, representing Baptist Campus Ministry.
  • Tyler Jury, a senior from Elizabethtown, representing Chi Omega.
  • Drew Kuzma, a senior from Glasgow, representing Lambda Chi Alpha.
  • Craig Lonas, a senior from Scottsville, representing Relay For Life.
  • Jordan Minton, a senior from Louisville, representing Phi Gamma Delta.
  • John Mackenzie “Mac” Mullins, a junior from Bowling Green, representing Sigma Chi.
  • Colby Osborne, a senior from Brentwood, Tenn., representing Alpha Xi Delta.
  • Felix Perrone, a senior from Henderson, representing Lambda Pi Eta – Communication Honors Society.
  • Christopher Ramsey, a senior from Nashville, Tenn., representing Resident Staff Association.
  • Zach Ryle, a senior from Burlington, representing Spirit Masters.
  • Billy Stephens, a senior from Hawesville, representing Alpha Omicron Pi.
  • Daniel Williams, a senior from Nairobi, Kenya, representing Alpha Delta Pi.
  • Austin Wingate, a senior from Fort Knox, representing NAACP.
