Dr. Tice received the Lifetime Honorary Member Award from the Southern Association for College Student Affairs.
This is the third major award Dr. Tice has received from SACSA. He received the Melene Draheim Hardee Award for contributions to student personnel work in 2002 and the Howard Davis Sr. Award for outstanding service to the association in 1995. Dr. Tice was president of the organization in 1991-92.
“This association has provided me with the opportunity to meet with and learn from the top student affairs leaders across the southeast,” Dr. Tice said. “SACSA members are committed to help all student affairs professionals improve campus life and create an environment that supports student success.”
Dr. Tice came to WKU in 2000 as vice president for Student Affairs and Campus Services, moving to WKU-O in 2008. Before coming to WKU, he spent 22 years at Mississippi State University, moving from director of Housing and Residence Life to associate vice president for Student Affairs.
