Street closings for 2011 10K Classic

The Medical Center 10K Classic is scheduled for Saturday (Oct. 15). The event will begin and end on the WKU campus.

The 5K run/walk will begin at 7:30 a.m. followed by the 1.5 mile fun walk at 7:50 a.m. The 10K wheelchair race will begin at 8:25 a.m. with the Medical Center 10K Classic at 8:30 a.m.  The Children’s Classic will begin at 10:15 a.m. Awards will be presented at 11 a.m. Race information is available here; click here for a course map.

Here is a list of street closings (when streets are closed, access to the WKU campus will be available at Chestnut Street and 14th Avenue or Old Morgantown Road):

University Boulevard

  • From Creason to 31-W Bypass: 6:00am-8:50am
  • From Creason to Diddle: 7:50am-8:30am

Chestnut Street

  • From 31-W Bypass to Main Street: 7:15am-9:30am
  • From Main Street to 2nd Avenue: 8:10am-9:30am

State Street

  • From 14th Avenue to Main Street: 7:15am-9:30am
  • From Main Street to 2nd Avenue: 8:10am-9:30am

College Street

  • From 14th Avenue to Main Street: 7:15am-9:30am
  • From Main Street to 6th Avenue: 8:10am-9:30am

Center Street
