The WKU office of Continuing Education and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) are partnering to bring the Essentials of Human Resource Management (EHRM) seminar and the SHRM Certification Prep course to Bowling Green.
EHRM is a two-day training designed to equip those individuals with management responsibilities with the knowledge to improve workplace effectiveness, protect the company from needless litigation and attain career advancement. This seminar will give individuals the confidence necessary to handle simple and complex HR situations in the workplace. Upon completion, individuals will receive a Certificate of Completion and the opportunity to earn continuing education units (CEUs).
The seminar will be held Aug. 11-12 at the Knicely Conference Center. A course fee of $449 includes all student materials and a class workbook. All interested individuals should register by July 15.
The SHRM Certification Prep course is designed for those in a management position or individuals in an HR role. The course will prepare participants for the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation and will enhance individuals’ HR skills and knowledge. Upon successful course completion participants will be awarded 3.0 continuing education units (CEUs).
The SHRM course will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays from Sept. 6 to Nov. 15 at the Knicely Conference Center. Registration deadline for the course is Aug. 5. The course fee of $975 includes all required readings and workbooks, mastery tests and the final examination and is due at the time of registration. The course fee does not include the HRCI exam fee.
