The WKU Student Government Association (SGA) is offering five $100 scholarships toward Study Away courses this summer. Five Study Away courses will be available, including several in New York City and one in Puerto Rico.
Kendrick Bryan, SGA executive vice president, said the scholarship creates a great partnership between SGA and WKU Study Away. “We support scholar development,” Bryan said, “and we encourage fellow students to experience new learning opportunities. Study Away is a great way for students to get hands-on experience through courses that take place within the United States.”
Jerry Barnaby, WKU Study Away director, encourages other organizations to follow SGA’s lead. “This scholarship shows SGA’s commitment to providing students with innovative learning opportunities,” he said, “and we hope it will inspire other organizations to do the same.”
The scholarship deadline is March 28.
Study Away serves the community by engaging students, faculty and staff in educational and cultural experiences beyond the campus borders.
