As part of Severe Storms Awareness Month, WKU will participate in a statewide tornado drill Tuesday morning (March 8).
At 9:07 a.m. (Central time), the National Weather Service and the Kentucky Division of Emergency Management will conduct the drill using an alert test message that will be broadcast over weather alert radios and broadcast stations, both television and radio. In Warren County, the COWS system will be activated and WKU will test its outdoor warning speakers.
As part of the drill, schools, businesses, governments and individuals are encouraged to practice their tornado safety drill and update their safety plans.
