The Center for Gifted Studies at WKU has opened registration for the 28th annual Advanced Placement Summer Institute to be held June 26-July 1 at WKU’s campus in Bowling Green.
Endorsed by the College Board, The Center’s Advanced Placement Institute will offer 25 workshops for either beginning teachers or experienced Advanced Placement teachers.
Advanced Placement Institute consultants are experienced Advanced Placement teachers who have demonstrated their ability to help other teachers prepare to teach Advanced Placement classes. Many are table readers, table leaders, test writers and text authors for Advanced Placement exams. Participants will leave the Institute with a wealth of resources and new ideas that they can take home to implement immediately in their classrooms.
Last summer, 476 teachers from 91 Kentucky school districts, 17 states and three countries participated in the weeklong institute at WKU. The application is available on The Center for Gifted Studies website at www.wku.edu/gifted. For information, call The Center at (270) 745-5991.
