Students work on Rose Parade floats

Students in WKU’s Horticulture 475 course, taught by Roger Dennis, are in Pasadena, Calif., where they are creating floral arrangements for two floats in the Jan. 1 Tournament of Roses Parade. The students are working with Charisma Floats on the 9/11 Heroes Tribute Float “Remember Reflect Renew” and West Covina Rose Float Foundation’s entry “Heroes in the Making.” In the photos below (provided by Gregory Lehr of Charisma Floats), WKU students are working with 9/11 Heroes Tribute Float vials that will include the names of those killed in the attack of Sept. 11, 2001.
