WKU’s ALIVE Center for Community Partnerships and the Student Activities office recently sent 16 WKU students and two Student Activities staff members to Antioch, Tenn., to repair the flood-damaged Lighthouse Preschool that will be featured in the ABC television show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

A group from WKU participated recently in an "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" project in Antioch, Tenn.
The episode is scheduled to air at 7 p.m. (Central time) Nov. 14 on WBKO and other ABC affiliates.
As part of their work, the WKU students were divided into two groups — one helped serve breakfast to the volunteers and the other sorted clothes at ThriftSmart, a local retail business.
“It was a rewarding experience,” said Nashville senior Rahwa Mehari. “I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to help.”
