WKU’s underground high voltage distribution project will again affect campus traffic and Topper Transit for about two weeks beginning Monday (Nov. 1).
State Street will be closed at Helm-Cravens Library. Detours will be posted on State Street as well as Normal Street and Regents Drive.
As with a previous road closing in September, Topper Transit has adjusted bus routes and schedules to ensure continued transit service to the main campus and South Campus. The map is available online.
- The White Line and Red Line will be combined into a single revised White Line route with increased frequency that will detour onto Chestnut Street.
- The Green Line will also detour onto Chestnut Street.
- The Blue Line will not be affected.
For Topper Transit riders, the following bus stops will be affected:
- Pearce-Ford Tower: If traveling to South Campus, use Keen Hall stop. If traveling up the hill, use temporary Regents Avenue stop.
- Mimosa: If traveling to South Campus, use DUC stop. If traveling up the hill, walk. ADA service is available for disabled students; call 745-2361 for service.
- Environmental Science & Technology: Use Cherry Hall stop at the Rock House.
- College High Hall: Use Cherry Hall stop at the Rock House.
- Baptist Student Ministries: Use temporary Regents Avenue stop.
- Chestnut Street South: Use temporary Chestnut Street stop.
