All honored for climbing Mount Everest

Dr. John All, WKU geography faculty member who reached the summit of Mount Everest earlier this year, was recognized during the WKU vs. Indiana football game Sept. 18 at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium. Dr. All become the ultimate Hilltopper while he was studying climate change in the Himalayas as part of a Fulbright Scholar program. A story on Dr. All’s trip to Mount Everest will be featured in the upcoming issue of WKU Spirit magazine and he will be the subject of this week’s View from the Hill segment.

    Wow……I am impressed. I travel the world and look at mountains (Mt McKinley in July, Ranier at Seattle, Matterhorn in Switz., and other mts. on 5 continents)……..but you CLIMB them. Well done.
