As part of a May term course, Dr. Josh Durkee and eight students from WKU’s meteorology program in the Department of Geography and Geology are tracking severe storms in a field-based weather course. Here are photos of two of the three tornadoes encountered this weekend. The class, Field Methods in Weather Analysis and Forecasting, involves 14 days of forecasting, tracking and analyzing storms between the Rocky Mountains and the Mississippi River, and the Canadian border and south Texas.
