Departments and organizations at WKU are planning memorials next week to honor two students and a faculty member who have died in the past year.
*Laura Chaney: Sigma Kappa Sorority will host a Laura Chaney Candlelight Memorial at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday (May 11) at Gilbert Hall. Chaney of Florence died May 11, 2009. She was a communication major.
*Keith Alan Hunt: College of Health and Human Services, School of Nursing, Big Red Marching Band and Phi Mu Alpha Fraternity will conduct a memorial for Keith A. Hunt at 10 a.m. Wednesday (May 12) at Guthrie Bell Tower. Hunt of Adolphus died May 31, 2009. He was a nursing student and marching band member.
*Bettina Richmond: The Mathematics Department will host a remembrance celebration and tree planting Wednesday (May 12) to honor Bettina Zoeller Richmond. The remembrance celebration will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Faculty House followed by the planting of an oak tree in her memory near College High Hall. Richmond of Bowling Green was killed Nov. 22. She was a member of the mathematics faculty.
